2005 SAE Handbook Includes More Than 1,800 Ground Vehicle Standards

WARRENDALE, Pa. (June 14, 2005) - The new 2005 SAE Handbook is available now in a three-volume book set or as a single CD-ROM. This annual compilation of ground vehicle standards includes more than 1,800 SAE J-reports covering cars, motorcycles and on-and-off-highway vehicles.

Here's an overview of the topics in each volume of the print edition:

• Volume 1 covers metals, materials, fuels, emissions, threads, fasteners and common parts.
• Volume 2 includes parts and components and on-highway vehicles (part 1).
• Volume 3 encompasses on-highway vehicles (part 2) and off-highway machinery.

The CD-ROM version includes information from the three-volume print edition, and enables users to quickly search J-reports and document summaries. It also provides the ability to display and print complete standards or specific pages.
