688G telescopic handlers offer Case customers variety of lift heights
-
Case Corp.'s 688G telescopic handler, the most recent addition to the company's line, features a maximum lift height of 13.1 m (43 ft). Other models offer heights of 11 m (36 ft), 12.8 m (42 ft), and 12.2 m (40 ft). The four models range in lift capacity from 2722 kg (6000 lb) for the 686G and 686G XR, 3629 kg (8000 lb) for the 688G, and 4082 kg (9000 lb) for the 689G. The 688G is built with an open A-frame design, allowing for more visibility at boom height and pick-and-carry levels. Heavy-duty tires and rugged steel covers and tanks provide for added durability and reliability around the job site. It has great stability due to the low-lying, centerline placement of the engine. As with the company's other models, it features a three-section telescopic boom. Internal cushioning inside the boom cylinders also helps reduce wear and tear. Should repairs or replacements be necessary, access to important boom components can be done without dismantling the entire boom.
