Case Turbo drills feature patented technology

Case Corp.'s 6010 Turbo and 6030 Turbo horizontal directional drills feature patent-pending technology that delivers more power with half the component load. The 60 Series Duplex drive system delivers high-efficiency boring power. The machines deliver 15600 and 40,700 N o m (11,500 and 30,000 lb o ft) of thrust and pullback, which is achieved through the combination of the new Case Duplex chain-drive design and high-efficiency hydrostatic motors. Together, they produce high performance and productivity levels without excessive component loads. As a result, the design extends substantially the life of the thrust chain and the reliability and durability of the total machine. Another component of the new design is its Load Sensing Management, which enables the machine to sense changing drilling conditions and self-adjust to optimize rotation, torque, and engine speed without operator intervention. Featuring Case family components, the 6030 has a 6-cylinder engine from the G series crawler family and hydrostats from the 75XT skid steer. The 6010 features an engine from the company's trencher family. Both models feature key components used in the Case loader/backhoe family.
