953 C track-type loader from Caterpillar offers improved balance and stability
-
Caterpillar's updated 953C Track-Type Loader features innovative designs that offer improved balance and stability, an updated operator's compartment for greater comfort, and a loader that is easier to operate and service. It also features new external styling, including a sloped rear, which gives the machine a distinctive look as well as an improved rear viewing area. A versatile machine, the track loader can handle many kinds of applications, including digging, dozing, loading, carrying, backfilling, grading, and demolition. On this updated version, the company has replaced linkages for the bucket and ripper controls with easier-to-operate pilot-operated controls. These controls reduce the effort needed to operate the equipment control levers, resulting in less operator fatigue and, therefore, higher productivity. The new levers are also smaller, which are easier for the operator to manipulate, and give the operator more precise control for better tool placement. Pilot-operated hydraulics include other benefits, such as reduced lift and tilt cylinder drift, and the operator can disable the pilot circuit easily to help prevent vandalism or accidents while away from the machine.
