Caterpillar 301.5 mini hydraulic excavator has naturally aspirated diesel engine

Caterpillar's 301.5 mini hydraulic excavator joins the company's line of compact construction equipment for applications in light and general construction, rental, waste, water and sewer, demolition, and landscaping industries. The 301.5 has a mass of 1673 kg (3687 lb) and will be joined at a later date by three additional models with weights ranging from 2729 to 4522 kg (6017 to 9970 lb). A complete line of work tools allows customers to use these mini excavators for varying work applications in building construction, landscaping, and demolition. The range of tools delivers high productivity and extended service life. Work tools for the excavators include the A7 auger, digging buckets from 230 to 600-mm (9 to 23.6-in.) wide; and two ditch cleaning buckets, 800- and 1000-mm (31.5- and 39.4-in.) wide. All are attached with the Caterpillar mechanical Quick Coupler. A Cat 3003 naturally aspirated diesel engine powers the 301.5 with flywheel power of 13 kW (17.4 hp). The line is available with a cab or protective canopy, and both structures meet tip-over protective structure requirements and Level 1 falling object protective structure specifications.
