Ingersoll-Rand ECM 670 hydraulic crawler features Intelsense II hydraulics
-
Designed for use in general construction, as well as quarry operations, Ingersoll-Rand Co.'s Rock Drill Div.'s ECM-670 hydraulic crawler drill achieves increased productivity through a highly efficient operating system. Other significant improvements to the drill include an Ingersoll-Rand hydraulic drifter and the Intelsense II hydraulic system. Capable of reaching depths to 25.6 m (84 ft), the drill is designed primarily for the drilling contractor and quarry operator requiring 76.2 - 114.3-mm (3-4.5-in.) blast holes. The rod handling system has many improvements and the modular design allows the selection of either a single rod loader or a multirod handling system. The simple swing-in/swing-out design makes the system very fast and dependable. The standard unit is equipped with Intelsense I, a tandem pressure-compensated axial piston pump driven directly off the engine. The optional Intelsense II system is also available without complicated electronics and can provide full progressive antijam and smooth drilling. In addition to its 610 mm (24 in.) of boom extension and 1220 mm (48 in.) of guide extension, the drill is designed to provide the versatility necessary for tackling tough pioneering applications and for maintaining great drill rates for production work.
