JCB's JS Series of tracked excavators are turbocharged

JCB Inc. now offers its seven model line JS Series tracked excavators to the North American market. The JS 70, a 7-t (7.7-ton) excavator brings powerful breakout forces to areas with restricted access. A standard dozer blade extends versatility. Four mid-range excavators, the JS 130, JS 160, JS 200, and JS 260, provide high tear-out forces with relatively nominal weight. A heavy-duty undercarriage delivers stability and durability, and a turbocharged Isuzu engine maximizes performance when stretching beyond digging into lifting tasks. Models JS 330 and JS 450 are well suited to deep-dig and quarry applications. Both machines reduce cycle times with the aid of boom priority switches that allow the boom to be raised quickly out of an excavation when truck loading. Maximum efficiency is achieved by power-matching the engine to the hydraulic requirements of the machine. With a large, twin-filter system, downtime and maintenance costs are reduced since service intervals have been lengthened to 500 hours.
