Komatsu excavators use company's HydrauMind technology

Komatsu America Intl.'s PC128US-1 and PC228USLC-1 excavators, designed specifically for the general construction, road construction, rental, and forestry markets, offer several design features to increase productivity, while enabling operation in extremely tight working conditions. Features include a short tail-swing radius, the company's exclusive HydrauMind hydraulic system, and a human-first engineered design. The PC128US-1 is powered by the four-cylinder, water-cooled, turbocharged Komatsu S4D102E engine. It features a 9480-kg (20,900-lb) bucket digging force and 610-kg (13,450-lb) arm crowd force. The 95.5-kW (128-hp) 21,854-kg (48,180-lb) PC228USLC-1 appeals to the demolition contractor working in confined areas where hydraulic pump flow, machine reach, and machine stability are required to handle demolition tools, such as breakers, smashers, and processors. The heavier components of the longer undercarriage on the PC228USLC-1 provide increased stability and smoother operation during digging, as well as enhance the lifting capabilities of the machine. The PC128US-1 and PC228USLC-1 feature the HydrauMind hydraulic control system, which provides the right combination of speed and power for greater precision in tight working environments.
