PC270LC-6 hydraulic excavator from Komatsu has turbocharged engine

The PC270LC-6 hydraulic excavator, introduced recently by Komatsu America Intl., offers optimal performance through features that enable customers to improve overall productivity and expand services across several applications. Designed for the construction, utility, and forestry markets, the excavator also offers the power and durability necessary for demanding demolition operations. It features long track lengths of 5 m (16.5 ft) and wide track shoe widths of 701 mm (27.6 in.), which increase lift capacity and stability, and improve flotation on soft groundwork sites. The excavator's 4880-kg (10,760-lb) counterweight also provides optimal stability. It is powered by the 129.8-kW (174-hp) Komatsu SA6D102EA-1 turbocharged engine, and includes a 1.24 m³ (1.63-yd³ ) bucket, with an arm force of 12,075 kg (26,620 lb). The Active Power Up Mode feature enhances the performance of the excavator's five working modes - heavy-duty, general, finishing, lifting, and breaking operations, by increasing engine rpm and providing a two-stage boom lowering speed. A key productivity-enhancing feature on the excavator is the patented HydrauMind system.
