GD750A-1 Cummins-powered motor grader from Komatsu has load-sensing hydraulic system

Komatsu America Intl.'s 19,051-kg (42,000-lb) GD750A-1 motor grader, introduced recently to the North American market, offers features that will improve productivity and efficiency. Designed specifically for heavy construction and mining haul road development/maintenance applications, the grader is powered by the 167.9-kW (225-hp) turbocharged Cummins M11-C diesel engine. The four-wheel drive grader features an articulated frame and a moldboard geometry that enables the operator to position the blade 90ø to the right or left. It has a maximum cutting depth of 685.8 mm (27 in.), a maximum lift above ground of 419 mm (16.5 in.), and a blade tip range of 46° forward and 7.5° backward. Design benefits of the grader include Komatsu's torque converter with lock-up direct-drive technology, load-sensing hydraulics, electronic monitoring system, and human-first engineered design. The machine offers several features to help ensure operator safety, including a braking system with three safety levels, a roll-over protective structure, and a falling-object protective structure. The motor grader is equipped with an electronic self-diagnostic system.
