New turbocharged diesel engine powers Liebherr 752 Litronic crawler tractor

With a service weight of 32,795-40,007 kg (72,300-88,200 lb), Liebherr Construction Equipment Co.'s 752 Litronic completes the company's range of hydrostatically driven crawler tractors. Its power output of 246 kW (330 hp) is provided by a newly developed turbocharged and intercooled Liebherr diesel engine, which is notable for its low fuel consumption and optimum emission figures. Peak traction is available at a speed as low as 1.1 km/h (0.7 mi/h), which makes the machine well suited for applications involving a ripper. The tractor's running gear is of strong modular-element construction and is attached to the support frame by means of forward-mounted pivot shafts and a swinging beam. Completely maintenance-free, it permits slight rocking movement that increases the machine's smoothness of running. The resilient connecting elements on the pivot shafts and the swinging beam suppress shock loads effectively. This reduces loads on the machine and stress on the operator. There is a full range of accessories for the tractor, from semi-U and U-blades to mechanically pivoted blade.
