New Holland Motor graders offer direct-drive power shift transmission
-
New Holland Construction Co. offers three motor graders in the 3.7-, 4.0-, 4.3-m (12-, 13-, and 14-ft) blade class. Features include a blade load-sensing hydraulic system that increases grading accuracy, reduces running costs, and increases overall performance. For demanding applications, all-wheel-drive will be available. A tight turning radius is retained by using an articulated frame, which also ensures grading accuracy in straight-ahead work. All major components on the RG series graders are easy to access. The blade rotating saddle is enclosed completely and shielded from dirt for extended service intervals. This reduces wear and ensures that the saddle need no adjustment in service. The RG140 is powered by a New Holland 7.5-L (470-in.3) Genesis diesel. The RG170 and RG200 are powered by 8.3-L (520-in.3) Cummins diesels. The direct-drive powershift transmission has modulated shift under load and provides eight forward and reverse speeds. Gears are selected by a single bump-type lever that is pushed forward or pulled back to change the transmission up or down.
