New Holland high-lift telehandlers are all-wheel-drive, -steer
-
New Holland Construction Co.'s LM telehandlers are durable, multipurpose machines that combine the reach of a forklift, the maneuverability of a skid steer, and the strength and speed of a wheel loader into one versatile machine. Five telehandler models are being offered. In the high-lift category, three new models are available: the LM840, with a 11.6-m (38-ft) lift height and 3175-kg (7000-lb) capacity, and the LM850, with a 12.5 m (41 ft) lift capacity and 3629-kg (8,000-lb) maximum lift capacity. Masonry and other contractors who want to lift pallets of brick and block onto scaffolding quickly often use these models. Another model, the LM860, has a 15.76-m (51.7-ft) lift height and 4536.0-kg (10,000-lb) maximum lift capacity. Typically, framing contractors and steel erectors who need to lift wide, heavy lumber packs use telehandlers of this size. Four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering is standard on all LM telehandlers. Although telehandlers work well with pallet forks, they are also well suited for cost-conscious contractors who want one machine capable of performing a variety of jobs.
