Compact work light
-
ABL Lights, Inc. has developed the ABL500, a compact work light specifically designed for mining, construction, forestry, agricultural, and recreational equipment. Measuring only 80 x 80 mm (3.2 x 3.2 in.), the lightweight work light features a computer generated reflective surface with an aluminum die cast reflector. It features a new technology called "active optics" that provides 20% increased light output. Features, such as a two-plane swivel for vertical or horizontal adjustment, and a hardened lens that is resistant to cracking from weather or other forces of nature, make the light both versatile and durable.

Air precleaner provides high efficiency, low restriction
-
Designed with the airflow-through principle, BEST-EX, Inc.'s CENTRI air precleaner provides high efficiency with low restriction. The company features seven models to cover clean air requirements, from 1416-38,227 L/min (50-1350 ft3/min). The precleaner's all-metal, heavy-duty, nonrusting aluminum and stainless steel construction is lightweight, and requires no additional clamps or supports. It provides up to 60% lower restriction than plastic composite precleaners and has a cleaning efficiency of more than 90% contaminant removal.

User-friendly modeling and analysis software
-
The Boeing Co.'s EASY 5 software models and simulates dynamic systems containing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, thermal, electrical, and digital control elements. Systems can be modeled quickly with predefined blocks representing physical components, such as pumps, gears, or motors. The software's suite of analysis and design tools enables the user to calculate parameters such as torque, rpm, pressure, flow, temperature, position, and velocity. Links to other CAE applications, such as Matlab, Matrix-x, or Adams, allow for complete virtual system prototyping. Source code is generated automatically to support real-time simulation.
