Stromag, Inc.'s Model PCS cardan-shaft coupling provides torsional damping, while at the same time provides support for a cardan-shaft connection. Features include high flexibility, high damping, simple construction, wear-resistant, maintenance-free bearings, and output connections for Spicer and Mechanics products. The company also offers the Model TS torsionally soft coupling with twin stiffness. This coupling is appropriate for applications that typically have gear noise problems at low or idling speeds. It has a soft characteristic curve that is about 15-20% of the full torque rating.

Converter for heavy-duty applications

Sure Power Industries' model 41204 12-24-V converter is designed for off-highway equipment cab accessories. Model 52142 (24-12-V converter), which is well suited for heavy-duty applications, adds increased intermittent load capacity, protection features, and memory support. The converters are thermally protected for over-temperature conditions. The units are short-circuit, and over-current, and reverse-polarity protected under all conditions. All converters are shock and vibration resistant, and completely environmentally sealed and encapsulated. Operating at better than 85-95% efficiency, the units can be paralleled for greater output capacity.
