Error 404--Not Found

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.4.5 404 Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

3-D online catalog tool

SolidWorks Corp.'s 3D Part-Stream.NET service enables manufacturers to integrate live, 3-D models into Web-based product catalogs and e-commerce systems. Suppliers can demonstrate their products by enabling potential buyers to view 3-D product models and drawings from all angles, configure product models based on specific customer requirements, and download these models and drawings into their own product designs in various file formats.

Supercomputing simulation

ESI Group's PAM-CRASH 2000, PAM-FLOW 2000, and PAM-STAMP 2000 are available on massively parallel processing environments. The packages are based on a technology called domain decomposition, which minimizes communication to improve and speed-up the overall computation. In a massively parallel environment, the simulation model is decomposed into several domains, each of which is assigned to a different processor. Thus, the workload can be distributed on several dozen processors.

E-business integration

Version 2.0 of SDRC's Accelis continues to aid in supply chain business processes via e-business integration. The release includes performance enhancements and provides for future expansion of platform support to include IBM Websphere 3.5, BEA WebLogic, and Sun iPlanet. It consists of three core components: the Product Knowledge Broker contains all the elements to build and deploy solutions; the Domain Library houses the domains that are needed to organize information in terms of predefined business operations such as transferring bills of material or engineering change orders; and the Connector Catalog houses the connectors that serve as gateways to data sources and feed information to the domains.

Mathematical modeling

Universal Technical Systems' TK Solver Release 4 mathematical modeling tool allows engineers to crunch numbers and obtain instantaneous results without learning complicated programming methods. The package features improved graphics plotting and navigation capabilities. MathLook for Excel allows users to name each cell and preview the resulting formula.

Upgraded vehicle IS software

Diversified Software Industries' IVIS Version 1.2 software uses information from various components in a vehicle, as well as specialized applications such as navigation software, to display accurately current and critical information. Features of the upgraded software include the system configuration tool development, operator preferences storage, compile time reduction, and improved GUIDE interface. This software technology can incorporate navigation systems with GPS, multimedia, and Internet access.
