Error 404--Not Found

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.4.5 404 Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

Design sharing solution

Actify has developed several solutions that enable collaboration and data sharing across an extended enterprise. Its SpinFire Enterprise solution allows companies to securely host and share critical product design information across an entire enterprise via the Web. SpinFire Professional, which serves as the desktop client to the enterprise server solution, allows users to seamlessly access product designs and collaborate on the design, regardless of the user's location. Sold as a turnkey package, SpinFire Enterprise is designed to plug into a company's existing infrastructure, adding sharing and collaboration capabilities without intersecting with software already deployed. Its modular design ensures that it can be readily extended and integrated, as needed, with advanced PLM, PDM, and ERP environments.

Rack-mount PCs

Industrial-grade PCs from Cyber-Research fit in one or two units of vertical space in a standard 19-in rack. 1U models offer one or two expansion slots and three drive bays; 2U models provide three or six slots and four to eight bays. Six models can be ordered with a variety of CPU cards or motherboards ranging from a 700-MHz Celeron card to a 1-GHz Pentium III.

CAM software

FeatureCAM Version 9 from Engineering Geometry Systems expands its functionality with the FeatureWIRE product, additional CAD file import capabilities, enhanced FeatureRECOGNITION functions, powerful 3-axis milling techniques, and additional 2-axis milling and drilling controls. It also provides customers more control with a Visual Basic programming interface and default attributes saving.

Electronics modeling

Ansoft Corp. has released Maxwell 9.0, an integrated simulation environment dedicated to solving complex electro-mechanical, power-electronic, and mechatronic system designs. The software is capable of solving 3-D applications that involve voltage or current sources with arbitrary waveforms important for the design of nondestructive evaluation, MRI, and power transformer equipment. The new version also introduces the ability to calculate core loss, including eddy, excess, and hysteresis loss of materials.

Virtual prototyping

Mechanical Dynamics has introduced its Dynamic Designer virtual prototyping solution to Autodesk Inc.'s Autodesk Inventor 3-D mechanical design software. Providing motion simulation capabilities integrated within the Autodesk Inventor platform, Dynamic Designer will allow engineers to gather system-level performance information virtually, before hardware prototypes are built. Mechanical Dynamics developed the virtual prototyping solution as part of an Autodesk Manufacturing Application Initiative in which partners create applications for design, development, and manufacturing that are seamlessly integrated with Autodesk software products.
