Metric plugs

EPCO Products now offers their Zero-Leak Gold Plugs in metric sizes. The new socket metric plugs are distinguished from their standard SAE counterparts by a more pronounced bevel on the top of the plugs as well as the metric size engraved on each plug. The plugs are guaranteed not to back out or leak, even in vibration, temperature change, and pressure spike situations. They require no chemical sealants, eliminating the risk of fluid system contamination during removal and reinsertion. The plugs are used for hydraulic, diesel, and other fluid-power applications.

Pump mounting kits

Hydraulic pump mounting kits from Lovejoy, Inc. give diesel/hydraulic equipment OEMs an alternative for cost and weight reduction in systems designed for engines less than 50 kW (65 hp). Kits include the firm's CK flywheel coupling plus a rugged, one-piece cast-aluminum housing, which allows purchase of the engine without its heavier cast-iron original-equipment flywheel housing and eliminates the need to add a pump-mounting plate to that housing. The housings precisely match engine mounting bolt holes and provide flywheel enclosure for a variety of engines including Cummins B3.3; Deutz FL1011; Ford LRG425 and VSG413; Kubota Super Mini, Super 03, and Super 05; and Perkins 103-10 and 103-22. Each housing also provides a mounting surface, pilots, and bolt patterns for all types of SAE A to D two- and four-bolt hydraulic pumps. DIN hydraulic pump pilots and bolt patterns also are available, and special drilling/tapping can be optionally ordered to suit accessory mounting.

Hydraulic rotary actuator

Helac Corp.'s L20 Series are ultra-compact, lightweight, high-torque rotary actuators that can be used as an alternative to hydraulic cylinders. The actuators feature large, integral bearings that can support and rotate heavy loads without the need for additional external bearings. The large diameter shaft flange with drilled and tapped bold circle permits loads to be securely bolt-mounted directly to the actuator. The shaft also features a hollow bore that reduces weight and can be used as a secondary load path or passage for hydraulic hoses, electrical wiring, etc. Zero-leakage seals eliminate internal bypass and external leakage, allowing selected positions to be maintained without drift. A foot-mounting configuration with 180° rotation is standard. Five models are available with output to 4400 N•m (3250 lb•ft) at 21,000 kPa (3000 psi).

Swing couplings

Oetiker, Inc.'s swing coupling will interchange with most common plug systems, providing a universal and flexible connection. It allows unrestricted full flow with safe, quick connection and disconnection under pressure. The unique swing style design provides effective sealing, ease of operation, and long service life. Applications may include compressed air supply for pneumatic tools, automation equipment, and supply lines carrying low-viscosity fluids and gases.

Speed valves

Iversen Speed Valves from Sherex Industries are hydraulically controlled valves that increase the forward movement of a double-acting cylinder. This is achieved by diverting the oil from the B-side of the cylinder to the A-side. The speed valve is an inline valve. It is easily installed and requires no additional controls, but will be controlled from the existing control valves. Applications include machine tools, excavators, die casting machines, plastic-injection-molding machines, presses, workholding equipment, and agricultural machines.
