Moisture sensor

The Hydraulic Filter Div. of Parker Hannifin Corp. has added a new product to its line of fluid filtration, purification, and condition monitoring equipment. The H2O Moisture Sensor provides a compact, real-time solution to continuous water contamination monitoring in most hydraulic and lubricating systems. Operators are alerted to changes in water concentration within the operating system's fluid. This sensor allows for multiple installations, insuring optimum equipment reliability.

Electronic proportional controllers

A new 44-page catalog includes complete technical information for new electrohydraulic control products from HydraForce. There are DIN coil mount models (IP65 rated), PCB (board only) models, and metal-box-enclosed models for remote mounting. The multifunctional, dual solenoid driver is potted in a metal box and has seven output signals for a variety of joystick-activated control functions using hydraulic proportional and directional valves. A wide range of control signal options are supported.

High-pressure-hose kit

The HK1-1000 from TTI, Inc., is constructed of stainless steel and nylon and is suitable for oil and water. The self-sealing hose and fittings assure no drips. Very low volumetric expansion in the kit enables a negligible pressure drop and quick stabilization for calibrations. There are a variety of seals available to accommodate the fluids used. The HK1-1000 has a working pressure of 100 MPa (14.5 ksi), a minimum burst pressure of 250 MPa (36.2 ksi), and a working temperature of -30 to +80°C (-22 to +176°F). A skydrol, or brake fluid version, is also available.

Hose pumps

Barnant Co.'s Ponndorf peristaltic hose pumps feature no seals to leak, no check valves or flap valves to clog, dry running capability, self-priming suction lift to 8 m (26 ft), and a fundamental advantage of peristaltic technology: the pumped fluid contacts only the hose material. This feature makes hose pumps particularly useful for abrasive slurries and corrosive fluids. Standard pump drives are fixed-speed integral gear motors. Optional drive packages include mechanical variable speed drives, SCR drives with dc motors (up to 20:1 turndown), and frequency inverter drives (10:1 turndown). Pump housings are cast aluminum alloy. Standard electric variable speed controls may be enhanced with hose rupture detection alarms and/or a preventive maintenance hose lift monitoring system.

Integrated Piston catalog

Parker Hannifin's Integrated Piston—a device that combines piston, bearing, and seal into a self-contained package for low-, medium-, and high-pressure hydraulic cylinder applications—is fully described in a new 12-page catalog. The catalog is published by Parker's Seal Group and contains detailed information on seal material choices, test data, and recommended pressure and temperature limits.
