Directional control valves

The Duplo-matic DS5 series directional control valve from Universal Hydraulics International Ltd. is a high-performance, five-chamber, NFPA Standard D05 unit. It offers operating pressure to 31,716 kPa (4600 psi) with flow capacity to 151 L/min (40 gal/min), allowing the replacement of pilot-operated D05 valves with a more efficient direct operating unit.

Tension clamp

The Normaclamp FBSC constant-tension clamp from Norma Products compensates for changes in hose diameter due to fluctuations in temperature and comes pre-opened to speed assembly. The clamp's one-piece design features an integrated retaining mechanism, and its chrome-free coating provides good corrosion resistance. It is suitable for radiator and heater hose applications.

Metering pump

A metering pump from Thomas Magnete USA was designed for pumping various fuels and liquids for applications such as preheating passenger compartments or cooling of water, implementation of cleaner exhaust gases, and additional heating for direct-injection diesel engines. The pump provides high metering precision with exactly defined swept volume and minimum noise of 45 dB.

Speed valves

Iversen Speed Valves from Sherex Industries Ltd. multiply available pump flow to increase rapid advance speeds of double-acting hydraulic cylinders. The valves use an integrated regenerative-circuit design to accomplish pressure-dependent speed increases of up to twice that of the speed generated by existing pump flow. The Speed Valve SV model uses a circuit that provides rapid advance with limited force. The Automatic Speed Valve SVA model uses a circuit that provides rapid advance with limited force until a predetermined pressure is reached, automatically shifting the valve to allow application of the cylinder's maximum force or normal speed. Advantages of the units include increased machine productivity via reduced cycle times, no external controls, rapid retrofitting, low pressure drop, and compact size and weight.

Noncontact level sensors

The UCL-Series continuous, non-contact, ultrasonic level transmitters from Gems Sensors are designed for fluids such as oils and petroleum distillates that coat or corrode common, immersed sensors. Accurate to ±0.25% of span, these solid-state sensors feature 4-20 mA output, -40 to +60°C (-40 to +140°F) operating temperature, and maximum operating pressure of 207 kPa (30 psi) at 25°C (77°F).
