Position sensor
MTS Sensors Corp.'s MH mag-netostrictive position sensor is suitable for use inside mobile hydraulic cylinders applied to on- and off-highway machinery. Each sensor is made of three primary components: the magnet-ostrictive sensing element, the sensing electronics, and a robust application housing that protects the internal components from environ-mental conditions. The pressure housing comes in two diameters, 7 and 10 mm (0.28 and 0.39 in), with a static pressure rating of 4300 and 5000 psi (30,000 and 34,000 kPa), respectively. The measuring range is 50 to 1000 mm (2 to 39 in) with an accuracy of 0.005%.
