Fluid Line Products' Anti Blocker inline filter protects sensitive and expensive control mechanisms in hydraulic systems operating at high pressure. The filter element is easily replaceable and cleanable to maintain a constant bi-directional flow. Made of zinc-plated steel, the filter has a micron rating of 50 and 120 nominal. Its temperature range is -40 to +121°C (-40 to +250°F), and it is vibration and shock resistant. The working and collapse pressure range are 0 to 41.4 MPa (0 to 6000 psi) with flow capacity of 0 to 380 L/min (0 to 100 gal/min).
Gems Sensors' Psibar family 3000 Series transducers feature thin-film sensing elements that deliver enhanced stability. These units drift less than 0.06% in six years and feature accuracy within ±0.15% for the life of the application. The thin-film design resists shock and vibration damage by eliminating the delicate and breakable bond wires commonly used in conventional pressure sensors that connect the sensing element to the electronics. A robust, welded stainless steel body and pressure port assure greater performance in rugged applications. A variety of output signals, pressure port sizes, and electrical connections are available.
The Flo-tech Div. of Racine Federation Inc. offers a portable hydraulic sensor array with load valve available with either U.S. or metric ports. The compact sensor array simultaneously measures the flow, pressure, and temperature of mobile or stationary hydraulic systems and components and provides information that can be used for diagnostic troubleshooting or performance verification of hydraulic circuits and components. The load valve offers fingertip control of pressure up to 41 MPa (6000 psi) and allows the operator to simulate load of multifunctional hydraulic systems. The unit is capable of providing portable hydraulic system diagnostics for TEE testing and inline testing of various hydraulic components.
Hedland Flow Meters has introduced a new line of flowmeters for monitoring and measuring the flow rates of compressed air and other compressed gases. The flowmeters have a pressure rating of 7 MPa (1000 psi) in brass or aluminum construction; 10 MPa (1500 psi) in stainless steel. All flowmeters used for pneumatic operations have a 10:1 safety factor. Information derived from the flowmeter promotes timely preventative maintenance measures and establishes predictive information for future actions.
The MSC2 Multi-Speed Fan Drive from Horton, Inc. is a highly efficient eddy-current and pneumatically actuated fan drive that increases off-road, diesel engine performance. The eddy-current drive turns the fan at a lower speed, which reduces operating noise by up to 50%, increases usable power for climbing steep grades, and minimizes radiator abrasion by pulling in less dirt and debris. When additional cooling is needed, the fan drive actuates pneumatically and runs the fan at full input speed. Its efficient operation also warms up engines faster, provides better cab heating and cooling, and reduces fuel consumption.
Hydronic Corp. offers a low cost, miniature version of its air driven hydraulic pump. The P901 is offered in seven models with pressures from 4 to 70 MPa (600 to 10,000 psi). Each pump measures 127 x 102 x 76 mm (5 x 4 x 3 in). The pump bolts directly onto a manifold, eliminating the threaded pipe connections to valves. Circuit components can also benefit from the double acting design because the piston return spring has been eliminated, removing an element of mechanical shock.
