Fuel and hydraulic tanks brochure

The IFH Group's Deluxe and Allied Tank companies' Custom Fuel and Hydraulic Oil Tanks for Off-Road Vehicles brochure outlines their capabilities to design, engineer, and manufacture custom steel tanks. The brochure demonstrates how the companies manufacture products from a simple two-part tank strap to hydraulic reservoir tanks with more than 60 different parts. Tank capacities range from 4 to 1135 L (1 to 300 gal). The companies use MIG, TIG, robotic, and electrical resistance welding manufacturing processes.

Portable TIG/stick inverter

Miller Electric Mfg. Co.'s Maxstar 200 dc TIG/stick inverter-based power supply power management technology accepts input power ranging from 115 to 460 V, single- or three-phase, 50 or 60 Hz, without any manual relinking. Users can plug the inverter into any primary current, from household to industrial outlets, and begin welding immediately. It has a 1 to 200-A output and produces code-quality TIG and stick arcs traditionally found in larger industrial machines. The unit uses an air flow management design similar to Miller's Wind Tunnel Technology, which protects electrical components and PC boards from contaminants.

Low friction elastomer seals

Standard and custom seals with permanent, low coefficients of friction that cannot be washed away are available from Minnesota Rubber. The F-Treated FKM elastomer seals feature low friction surfaces that will be present on the seal surface even as the surface abrades. This process is a permanent modification of the elastomer and is present 1 to 2 mm (0.04 to 0.08 in) beneath the surface of the molded part. It has a minimal effect upon the elastomer's original and aged properties; the only observed change is a slight improvement in compression set resistance. The process does not affect the FDA acceptability of appropriate compounds.

Heavy-duty clamp

The Universal Sure-Seal Clamp from Ottawa Products Co. is a patented heavy-duty clamp that provides a 360° seal using a unique double ring design that does not allow a leak path for air or fluids. The product is suited for exhaust connections and hose assemblies; sizes range from 44 to 254 mm (1.75 to 10 in).

Integrated piston

Parker Hannifin's Seal Group offers the Integrated Piston, a device that combines piston, bearing, and seal into a self-contained package for low-, medium-, and high-pressure hydraulic cylinder applications. The piston incorporates a bearing with an expansive surface area, a precision-tolerance design, and intricately machined surfaces, which help reduce side load effects and enable the device to outperform conventional assemblies in aerial lifts, excavators, mobile and industrial equipment, and other applications where safety and prolonged service are critical.

Clutch sensor uses reed switch technology

The FP-3200 ferrous proximity sensor from Power Components of Midwest, Inc. is a custom-designed, low cost clutch switch that uses reed switch technology with dual sensing capabilities. The technology can be configured for similar applications. The long-life sensor is able to handle large air gaps and will respond to both pass-by and perpendicular straight-on presentation of the target body. The FP-3200 is hermetically sealed, fully encapsulated, and able to withstand harsh environments.
