Electrohydraulic steering

The EHPS electro-hydraulic steering system from Sauer-Danfoss GmbH is designed for loaders, forklift trucks, dumpers, large tractors, and other heavy vehicles. It supplements the hydraulic steering wheel control and optimizes steering characteristics for various driving conditions. At the system's core is a valve that can be controlled via both a hydraulic signal from a hydraulic steering unit and an electric signal from an electric actuator. Both functions can operate simultaneously, though to ensure optimum safety, the steering unit automatically has higher priority than the electrical activation unit.

Battery charge

The RediPulse Charge/ Maintenance System from PulseTech Products Corp. is suited for vehicles and equipment stored indoors or in areas without access to sunlight. Powered by a 110-V ac adapter, it prevents dead batteries by always keeping them in "like-new" condition. The system emits a pulsating dc current into the battery that enables the sulfate deposits to leave the plates and coverts them to an active electrolyte. RediPulse works with all conventional flooded lead-acid batteries and sealed "maintenance-free" batteries.

Audible/visible alarm

Cole Hersee Co.'s LED Buzzer for off-road vehicles mounts in the cab and alerts the driver to a potential problem or hazardous condition. When triggered, the alarm sets off a loud buzzer and the LED illuminates. The device can be wired to any switch, and thus can give warning of conditions such as dump body alarm, door ajar, high engine temperature, low oil or air pressure, and low vacuum.

Seven-diode LED

Peterson Manufacturing's seven-diode LED stop/turn/tail light incorporates design features that deliver bright performance at a minimum cost. The LED package meets FMVSS108 requirements while exceeding SAE specifications. The light is paired with a unique round lens featuring a series of concentric circles that maximize optical brilliance and clarity.

Dual-axis tilt switch

The AccuSwitch dual-axis tilt switch from Schaevitz Sensors is based on the AccuStar II/DAS-20 dual-axis clinometer, which combines two accurate clinometers in one package. The switch offers programmable switch points for both axes and is designed with open collector and polarity outputs for each axis to provide versatility and economy. It meets the needs of man lift, crane, recreational vehicle leveling, and other applications.
