Sensor array
The Activa Sensor Array Series F6200A/F220A from the Flo-tech division of Racine Federated Inc. simultaneously measures the flow, pressure, and temperature of mobile or stationary hydraulic systems and components. The array's compact design offers three sensors but requires only one hydraulic line break, making it suitable for providing portable hydraulic system diagnostics and in-line testing for various hydraulic components. Other applications include advance warning of impending component failure and mobile hydraulic-system analysis.
Teflon wrap
M.M. Newman Corp.'s Heli-Tube spirally cut Teflon wrap functions as an anti-chafe guard and provides color coding for high-pressure metal and other types of hoses. The wrap is applied like tape to the hose. It is suitable for use in various environments, is expandable, chemically inert, nonflammable, and operates over a -268 to +260°C (-450 to +500°F) range.
Powder brake dynamometer
The PB Series of Powder Brake Dynamometers from Magtrol, Inc. complements the firm's line of hysteresis and eddy-current dynamometers. They are suitable for applications operating in the low- to mid-speed range and mid- to high-torque range of under 1150 Nm (850 lbft). The units provide full torque at zero speed and are water cooled, with power ratings up to 48 kW (65 hp). Magtrol's dynamometers are used in the machinery and marine industries to test combustion engines; hybrid, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic motors; pumps; propellers; gearboxes; and machine tools.
Liquid level sensor
The ESS extended liquid level sensor/sender from Gentech Intl. is suitable for critical applications requiring more-precise level signaling than that provided by multi-point sensors. Providing a continuous/analog output through a single float traveling its length, the sensor is suitable for applications such as storage tanks, gensets, off-highway and street-cleaning vehicles, and for a range of liquids including water, oil, fuel, and coolants.
Leak test equipment
Leak test equipment from Schuler Inc. is suitable for both helium and differential pressure testing procedures. The system is designed for integrated or stand-alone operation and can be incorporated into a company's existing system at any time. For tight-head drums having firmly tightened plugs, the helium test examines a drum's body, base, and lid. For open-top drums without covers, the equipment can apply the differential pressure test to check a drum's body and base.
