Tie-rod cylinders
TRD Manufacturing's micro-adjust is an NFPA tie-rod cylinder with a calibrated stop collar that allows precise adjustment of extended stroke. Once adjusted, the stop collar can be locked in place. The device offers an easy-to-read precision scale, 0.025-mm (0.001-in) calibration, and no "pinch point" design. Standard bore sizes range from 38 to 203 mm (1.5 to 8 in), up to 152-mm (6-in) stroke and adjustment, and various standard NFPA mounts. Options include bumpers, magnetic piston, metallic rod scraper, and high temperature seals.
Hardened way slides
The HS Series of hardened way slides from Master/Setco include numerous drive packages and accessories. The Standard HS slide is available with a no-feed, ballscrew, or external cylinder drive package and accessories that include limit switches, automatic lubrication, valley wipers, metal way covers, and accordian way covers. The Custom HS Series slides are engineered around the Standard base-line platform with the addition of a longer slide width and base length. They feature a modular design for product flexibility. Accessories for both models include new externally mounted and internally or partially internally mounted hydraulic and air cylinder drives.
Strain gauge interface
The AP810 interface card from HBM, Inc., together with the firm's ML801 amplifier, provides the benefit that all eight channels operate simultaneously with no scanning and no multi-plexing. Digital filtering ensures synchronous channel operation and accurate phase relationships, even in multi-card applications. Sampling rates of up to 2400 samples/s are possible.
Noncontact torque sensor
FAST Technology's TM-HA is an embedded magnetic domain torque sensor. The robust unit can measure the torque applied to a rotating or a stationary shaft without contact, providing torque values at high frequency with improved resolution, repeatability, and accuracy. The TM-HA is supplied as a complete measurement system packaged in a single housing, including torque shaft, signal detector, electronic signal processing unit, connector, and cable. ASIC technology reduces the space required for sensing and electronics.
Flexible conduit
Type LNM-P nonmetallic liquid tight conduit from Electri-Flex Co. is used for continuous flexing situations. The durable conduit does not have a metal core and will not suffer fatigue from repeated flexing or vibration. Its flame-retardant PVC material is a compound that resists oils, mild acids, and exposure to sunlight. The conduit is often specified for Power Track or cable carrier installations and industrial robots.
