Sewer cleaning
The Jet Force Sewer Cleaning System from Vacuum Source, Inc. is available in three distinct models: skid-mounted for use with any full-size pickup truck, trailer-mounted with a 1552-L (410-gal) freshwater tank, or incorporated into the VaXcavator as a low-cost alternative to street truck usage. Powered by an 18-kW (24-hp) Honda gasoline engine or optional 32-kW (43-hp) diesel engine, the system can clean residential and mainline sewers of 100 to 300 mm (4 to 12 in) diameter, with runs up to 91 m (300 ft) in length. The unit comes standard with two jetting nozzles and a 20,680-kPa (3000-psi), 34-L/min (9-gal/min) water pump. Other pressures and flows are available with the optional diesel-powered package.
Lift tables
Advance Lifts' Advance Lift Tables provide added safety and work ease by enabling workers to position components, work pieces, and pallets at the optimal height and angle. These work positioners eliminate many of the ergonomic concerns that lead to work-related injuries. The tables' legs are milled and drilled in one operation to ensure exacting tolerance, and the company manufactures its own industrial grade hydraulic cylinders that incorporate a variety of quality features to ensure reliability.
Touch screen
Intelligent Instrumentation has added touch-screen functionality to both the LANpoint CE Vehicle-mount and the Stationary-mount LANpoint CE data-collection terminals. These rugged, high-powered Windows CE computers are being installed in wired and wireless Ethernet LANs. Users can use the touch-screen option to launch graphical-user-interface applications without the need for an external pointing device.
Quick connects
Tyco Electronics' budget FASTON connector provides a low-cost alternative for 0.250 x 0.032 tab connections. This product is suitable for uses with few mating and unmating cycles and may be used in applications with limited current switching or cycling requirements. The product features an insulated wire barrel that provides wire strain relief. The insulation is economical PVC, the terminal body is tin-plated brass, and the wire support sleeve is tin-plated copper. Specific applications include automobiles, off-road equipment, and lawn and garden equipment.
Active matrix display
For flat panel display applications in which high brightness, high contrast, and enhanced resolution are required, the 10.4-in diagonal High Brightness TFT transmissive LCD module from Optrex America offers a brightness of 550 cd/m2. Screen resolution is 800 x RGB x 600, with a contrast ratio of 180:1. It offers a wide viewing angle of ±45° horizontal and +40/-15° vertical. Color depth is 6-bit, with 262, 144 colors. The module is backlit by a 2-tube CCFL, and typical power consumption is 9 W, including display and lighting system.
