Amplified pressure transducer

The Model HV amplified pressure transducer from Sensotec, Inc. is a high performance sensor configured for high volume applications. It is offered in 10 pressure ranges from 0-170 to 0-69,000 kPa (0-25 to 0-10,000 psi) and provides a high level 4-20 mA or 1 to 5-V dc output. The sensor and housing are an integral, hermetic assembly manufactured from a single piece of stainless steel to ensure reliable operation in adverse environmental conditions found in off-road and heavy-equipment applications.

Temperature controller

Fuji Electric's revised design of the PXZ5 temperature controller includes a larger, four-digit LED display. Fuzzy logic control is a standard feature suppressing overshoot without lengthy start-up time and improving the response to external disturbances by quickly reverting to set points. Other standard features include PID auto tuning, a NEMA 4X faceplate, loader interface, programmable eight-segment ramp/soak function, 85 to 265-V ac free voltage power supply, and programmable inputs. Optional features include 24-V ac/dc input power supplies and second control outputs or alarms.

Flow switch line expanded

Three additional port sizes, an additional material option, and double switches are now available for Flow-Alert flow switches from Hedland Flow Meters. The flow switches automatically send signals when out-of-range liquid or gas volumes are detected in hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Typical applications include monitoring conveyor speeds based on flow rates at aggregate plants; insuring a steady flow of lubricating and cooling oil is delivered to bearings; and monitoring the coolant flow of plastic injection molding machines, the coolant levels used in CNC operations, and compressed air in general industrial and packaging machinery.

Reverse circulation hammer

Designed for use in the exploration market for rock and mineral sampling, Ingersoll-Rand Co.'s Quantum Leap 50 reverse circulation downhole drill, the QL50 RC, features a high-frequency hammer cycle. The unit performs well in soft, broken, and unconsolidate formations. Unlike conventional downhole drills where cuttings return to the surface in the annular space between the borehole and the drill rod outside diameter, the QL50 RC uses a center recovery tube that allows rock cuttings to travel up the center of the hammer.
