Precise pressure measurement

High-impulse hoses

Parker Hannifin Corp.'s 471TC and 471ST high-impulse hoses have a 15 to 35% higher working pressure than standard SAE 100R2 hose. Improved flexibility and a tight bend radius make them easy to install in tight spaces. Users can select their level of abrasion resistance by specifying an MSHA-accepted synthetic Tough Cover or polymeric Super Tough cover for severe environments. Available in sizes ranging from 6 to 25 mm (0.25 to 1.0 in), both hoses feature an oil-resistant, Nitrile-based synthetic rubber tube, and two braids of high-tensile steel wire reinforcement.

Self-ejecting precleaner

Donaldson Co.'s TopSpin is a self-cleaning air intake system precleaner. Available in four models, the unit extends air filter life and boosts overall system efficiency and performance by automatically separating and discarding contaminants and debris before they meet the primary air filter. It separates 99% of large debris and 85% of coarse air contaminants. The precleaner's translucent housing enables visual confirmation of separation effectiveness, and its metal-free body and sturdy construction tolerate various operating environments including moisture, allowing it to perform well in rain, snow, and heavy dust conditions.

Ultrasonic flowmeter

Fuji Electric's Time Delta S Version 3 is a clamp-on transit time ultrasonic flowmeter that features a fully automatic transmission method and wave pattern selector based on fluid process properties for which flow rate is to be measured. The unit scans through either correlation or standard transit time mode through as many as seven different transmission patterns until the optimum configuration for the fluid system is acquired. The Time Delta S Version is available for ultrapure to moderately dirty or aerated systems and for system pipe diameters of 13 to 5995 mm (0.5 to 236 in).
