Torque, speed, and power testing
Magtrol's products are used for testing electric, hydraulic, pneumatic motors, gas engines, and pumps. They include in-line torque transducers and display units; hysteresis, eddy-current, and powder brake dynamometers; high-speed dynamometer controllers; power analyzers; and software, all of which can be obtained individually or integrated into custom-designed motor test systems.
Cable and hose carrier
A cable and hose carrier design from A & A Mfg. Co., Inc. combines improved strength with lighter weight and easier hose replacement. The Gortrac SRC and LRC Series carriers are available with link heights up to 102 mm (4 in) to handle larger loads on aerial devices, construction equipment, and other mobile machinery. The carriers maintain the proper bend radius of air, hydraulic, and electric lines to prevent fatigue and excessive wear during operation. To reduce weight even more, the unique link design features a patented half-shear lockout system that eliminates parts. Overall, the SRC and LRC carriers typically weigh as much as 15% less per foot than a corresponding all-metal carrier, yet are up to 35% stronger.
Ultrasonic level switches
Two new series of liquid level switches from Gems Sensors feature solid-state, ultrasonic technology. The single-point ULS-50 Series incorporate submersible IP68 housings of either polypropylene or PFA Teflon. The multi-point ULS-60 units are general-purpose noncontact level controllers; two versions are available to measure from 91 to 3600 mm (3.6 to 142 in). They are designed for use with acids, oils, petroleum distillates, and other coatings or aggressive liquids. Gems' noncontact ULS-60 Series mount in the top of a tank and provide two integral relays for user specified level switching setpoints. ULS-50 Series switches feature wetted materials of either all-polypropylene or all-PFA Teflon for compatibility with a broad range of liquids, including those with light coating or scaling characteristics.
Differential pressure transducers
Kavlico's OEM differential pressure transducers are suitable for air flow (ventilation), water flow, air intake flow, exhaust gas flow, coolant flow, oil flow, fuel flow, and product mixing and blending applications. The units can be specified with pressure ranges of 0.25 kPa (1 inH2O) to 0-345 kPa (0-50 psi), and operate on a 5-V dc power supply, providing a 0.5 to 4.5 V-dc output. The transducers have no moving parts and provide reliable flow measurement options when coupled with venturi tubes, flow nozzles, orifice plates, or pilot tubes.
Swivel fittings
A line of 360° swivel fittings from Industrial Specialties Mfg., Inc. offer design engineers easy access in tight spots. Available in brass, nickel-plated brass, or stainless steel, the fittings are available in straight connectors, elbows, and tees.
