Roller cam follower
RBC Bearings has added two new sizes to the RBC Roller cylindrical roller cam follower line: 25-mm (1-in) and 28.6-mm (1 1/8-in) roller diameter. These sizes are suitable for use in small-to-medium-sized machines requiring precise motion control. Benefits of the design over more traditional needle roller cam followers include 175% greater dynamic load capacity, five times greater operating life, lubrication for life, and the ability to operate at higher rotational speeds and cooler running temperatures under load.
Miniature accelerometers
Two ICP accelerometers from the Vibration Div. of PCB Piezotronics, Inc. feature small, lightweight, titanium housings and are suited for modal and structural vibration analysis, package drop testing, and general shock and vibration measurement applications. Models 352C41 (10 mV/g) and 352C42 (100 mV/g) are each housed in a 3/8-in hex x 0.38-in-tall titanium housing that has a mass of 2.8 g (0.09 oz). Shear mode, piezo-ceramic sensing elements provide low-noise operation and accuracy through a frequency range of 0.5 to 10 kHz (±10%).
Interface card
HBM's AP814 Interface Card is designed for single strain gauges (quarter bridges) in a three-wire circuit. It provides eight measurement channels on a single module slot 20 mm (0.8 in) wide. With the firm's ML801 amplifier, the unit's eight channels operate simultaneously with no scanning or multiplexing. Digital filtering ensures synchronous channel operation and accurate phase relationships, even in multi-card applications. Sampling rates of up to 2400 samples/s are possible, Bessel and Butterworth filters are available, and the measurement frequency is variable between 0.05 and 500 Hz with an effective resolution of 20 bits.
DC controller
Lincoln's Model 85535 24-V dc automated lubrication system controller provides system supply line feedback monitoring of Lincoln's Centro-Matic system for off-highway mobile equipment. The device has a microprocessor that controls the intervals between lubrication cycles, determines how long the lube system is energized, and monitors supply line pressure to ensure that a lube cycle takes place. If the controller does not detect a lube cycle, it sends an alarm signal.
Suction line strainers
A selection of corrosion-free plastic filters from Industrial Specialties Mfg. eliminates contamination on pick-up lines for air, vacuum, liquid, or oil applications. Effective in protecting pumps on any downstream device, the filter design prevents clogging or blockage. The units are available as either fixed assemblies or units that can be quickly changed for filter cleaning or replacing. Fittings can be provided with barb, threads, bulkhead, couplers, or any combination in plastic or metal housings.
