Hydraulic couplings

NK Coupling, LLC has launched its e-commerce website, www.nkcoupling.com, to offer couplings directly from the manufacturer. The site includes a technical data link to assist users with identifying the coupling most suited for their applications. The product-order on-line link enables customers to compare NK Coupling's products to the competition's.

LED strobing light

Peterson Mfg. Co.'s Piranha auxiliary LED strobing lights are designed for applications across a range of emergency and service vehicles and construction equipment. The devices meet all SAE J1318 and J845 specifications while offering a key advantage over conventional gaseous-discharge strobe devices—they require no remote power supply. The units operate on a 12-V system with an operating range of 8-12 V.

Cable mount studs

Image Industries' heavy-duty cable mount studs are a rugged, lasting solution for harnessing cables. Providing a quicker alternative to drilling and bolting, these studs meet wire-fastening needs in applications such as off-road, construction, and farm equipment; cranes; heavy trucks; buses; and motor homes. The studs, designed for use with the ARC stud welding process, accommodate bundles up to 127 mm (5 in).

Scraper tire

Michelin's XMS is an E3 radial tire designed to provide excellent traction, damage resistance, and a smooth ride for the operator. Its tread design has a high lug-to-void ratio and a large ground contact patch, both of which contribute to long life. The staggered tread blocks help improve operator comfort, while the edges of the tread pattern offer better lateral grip.

Coolant hose

Gates Green Stripe coolant hose from the Gates Rubber Co. is fully compatible with commercially used glycol-based coolants and inhibitor packages. Known for its resistance to cold leaks and water permeation, the hose is made with a special EPDM rubber compound that will not break down or react to glycol-based coolants. The polymers in the hose also provide an improved bond to stems and connectors, reducing cold coolant leaks and EPA concerns for coolant seepage at maintenance facilities and parking areas. The hose also maintains the proper ratio of water-to-coolant concentrate for a longer time because it resists permeation of water molecules through the hose wall, which in turn reduces both maintenance costs for topping off the radiator and the need to preserve proper coolant chemistry.
