Pressure switch
Ashcroft's N-series pressure switch has a bright, 89-mm (3.5-in) LED display that can be read and set quickly. One-button operation allows users to toggle between process pressure, set point, and reset point without complicated procedures. The N-series switch can be combined with an instrument isolator as a cost effective alternative to the switch, gauge, and multiple fitting approach often used in difficult media processes.
Motorized comparator
Optical Gaging Products, Inc.'s Focus contour projector features true telecentric optics and an underscreen Fresnel lens for high precision. The corrected image provides flat field, high contrast, and sharp images right to the edge of its full 14-in viewing area for accurate measurement and inspection. An adjustable direct projection collimator concentrates light for the brightest images at all magnifications. A three-position manual lens turret with automatic magnification sensing is standard on all Focuses, with projection lenses from 10-50 times available. Coaxial (through-the-lens) surface illumination is standard.
Off-line inspection
The Valve Rocker Inspection System, an off-line audit inspection system from American Stress Technologies, Inc., monitors residual stress from manufacturing processes and detects grinding damage and some heat-treat qualities. The unit requires manual loading and unloading of the test piece. Two sensors test the surface, and test information is sent to a ROLLSCAN central unit.
Remote data access
Logic Beach Inc.'s HAP (HyperWare Automation Program) is software used for programming, graphing, and analyzing data collected from industrial sensors and any of the firm's data-logging systems. The latest version allows data and data-logger status to be posted and updated automatically to the Internet or a corporate intranet.
Driveline solutions
Off-highway vehicle axles from Newage Transmissions Ltd. include 215 and 415 series axles for 2.7 and 4.5 t (3 and 5 ton) vehicles and 615 and 915 models for heavy-duty vehicles up to 9 t (10 ton) axle loading. Other units include the 100 series axle, the G2000H freestanding hydrostatic transfer gear unit for four-wheel-drive off-highway vehicles, and the rugged and versatile 85MFR traction gearbox.
