Multi-functional gauges
The enGage Series of gauges from Curtis Instruments, Inc. offers non-volatile memory and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures as well as field-programmable maintenance monitoring, customized combinations of bar gauge and numeric, and a backlit LCD for easy reading. The three-item series covers a range of industrial vehicle instrumentation needs, including golf carts, lawn tractors, and material-handling vehicles. Gauges can be customized with desired capabilities from more than 10 function selections. Fully sealed gauges are designed to snap into a panel with a bracket; one basic shape accommodates every function within each series.

Motion control components
Rugged angle-sensing control components from Axiomatic Technologies Corp. provide motion control in industrial and military applications. The inclinometer provides a measurement range of 90° in one direction for the single-axis model or two perpendicular axes with the same range for the dual-axes model. The inclination sensor is analog with a nominal accuracy of up to 0.05° and accepts a power supply from 9-40 V. Output from the sensor is available through RS232 or CAN bus communications. The resolver control module (shown) measures angular displacement and speed in servo and robotic systems. It accepts a power-supply voltage from 18-32 V dc and includes filtering for removing the effects of vibration. Both components can be used alone or integrated with the main processor display unit to provide a complete CAN bus closed-loop control system.

Keyless entry
The e-ASK system from TriMark offers easy entry and increased security in passenger and compartment doors. The base system features a standard remote radio frequency transmitter fob and an externally mounted keypad with visual, audible, and touch feedback for keyless entry. Complete system kits are available and include handles, latches, and power actuators to provide a comprehensive electromechanical access solution. The keypad can be mounted horizontally or vertically and withstands rugged conditions and vandalism, making it suitable for demanding users of heavy trucks and agricultural and construction equipment.

Threaded fittings
Bee Valve Inc. offers a full line of Schedule 80 heavy-duty threaded fittings manufactured from glass-reinforced polypropylene for durability. The line includes tees, elbows, crosses, pipe and reducer nipples, reducer bushings, pipe caps, pipe couplings, and pipe plugs. The fittings are chemical resistant to most acids and have an operating temperature from 10 to 180°F (-12 to +82°C) and a recommended operating pressure of 150 psi (1034 kPa) at 70°F (21°C).

Self-lubricating bearings
DuraLube self-lubricating spherical plain bearings from RBC Bearings are suited for demanding applications with light to medium loads. The bearings operate grease free because of the use of a durable PTFE liner system that reduces friction between the spherical surfaces of the inner and outer rings. Lubrication is not required, and the lack of friction extends the life of the equipment. In addition, DuraLube bearings do not attract and hold grease, possibly reducing maintenance costs. Typical applications include agricultural, material-handling, construction, hydraulic cylinders, and other off-highway equipment.
