Rugged sieve shaker
The Powermatic Sieve Shaker from CSC Scientific Co., Inc. is designed to meet the needs of the road, aggregate, and construction industries. The shaker is able to handle large amounts of sample and heavy weights with its two offset motors, which are key to the unit's accurate results. The heavy-duty shaker accommodates six, 457-mm (18-in) diameter sieves and has a quick-release clamping system, making it easy to interchange sieve stacks between tests. The design of the device enables it to be virtually silent, easy to use, and suitable for rugged environments.
Self-lubricating bearing
The PolyLube MRP bearing from Polygon Co. is designed for high-load applications with linear, oscillatory, or rotational movement. The bearing is a more cost-effective solution when compared with traditional composite or metallic sintered structure bearings. Using the next generation of Teflon, the firm developed a composite bearing with the same high-tenacity PTFE monofilaments as the primary anti-friction component in the ID of the bearing. The wear liner still incorporates small woven pockets to ensure a high degree of embeddability into the bearing surface and that a high content of PTFE is pushed to the surface in the most efficient fashion possible, which allows for a quick transfer of PTFE from the bearing ID to the mating surface.
Shaft-mounted speed reducers
Rockwell Automation's Dodge Torque-Arm II shaft-mounted speed reducers offer increased torque and power ratings compared to the previous generation. This new line of shaft-mounted speed reducers will be available in 12 case sizes through 447 kW (600 hp) and 50,840 Nm (37,500 lbft) of torque. The patent-pending sealing system uses a standard double-lip, spring-loaded, rubber-coated oil seal protected by a metal excluder seal with rubbing lip. No relubrication is required. The steel mount motor adjusts to multiple center distances and mounts in shaft-mount and screw conveyor positions. The patented twin-tapered bushing system in standard length, short shaft, and metric versions offers the features of the standard twin-tapered bushing design. The reducers can be shaft mounted, screw conveyor, vertical, and flange mounted. An efficient helical gearing design meets or exceeds AGMA standards, including 5000-h L-10 bearing life.
Crusher motors
WorldWide Electric Corp. features a complete line of Advanced Design Crusher Motors available in 75-373 kW (100-500 hp) and 1200 to 1800 rpm. The company will be exhibiting a full line of high torque conveyor duty motors and shaker screen motors as well as a complete line of C-flange mount, footed, hydraulic power unit motors.
Engine products
The Power Products Div. of Stanadyne Corp. designs, develops, manufactures, and markets a range of proprietary fuel filter and water separator systems suitable for diesel engines from 7.4 to 447 kW (10 to 600 hp), including the latest generation of common-rail systems. The Fuel Manager FM 100 and new FM 1000 filter systems incorporate a choice of media from 150 to 2 µm (5900 to 79 µin); various element sizes and capacities; and a range of optional modules, including see-through water bowl, electric heaters, filter change indicator, electronic water sensor, hand and electric primer pumps, and electric boost/lift pump. All the modules can be installed at the OEM level or retrofitted for specific application requirements.
