Student Poster Competition Focuses On 100th Anniversary Theme

A contest will enable students in grades 4-10 to join in the celebration of SAE's 100th anniversary by creating posters which interpret the theme "SAE 100: Leading Our World In Motion."

Students who have participated in SAE's "A World In Motion" program are eligible to enter. Posters will be judged by a special committee of SAE members, and the winners in each of three categories (Grades 4-5; Grades 6-7; and Grades 8-10) will a receive $500 U.S. Savings Bond. Winning posters will be displayed at the SAE 2005 World Congress.

Posters will be judged on theme-interpretation, originality, and visual effectiveness. Posters must be created on flat paper sized between 15" x 20" and 22" x 28". Markers, crayons, pen and ink, colored pencils, watercolors, or poster paint may be used.

Each school may submit one winning entry from each of the three categories to their regional SAE section. Each section will then submit the winning posters from their section to SAE headquarters. Posters must be postmarked by February 1, 2005 and received at the participating section by February 8, 2005. Sections will then forward their winning entries to SAE by March 22, 2005.

For further rules and details, and for entry forms, call 724-772-8514, or visit A World In Motion .
