The SAE Aerospace Information Report AIR5315 - Generic Open Architecture (GOA) defines "a framework to identify interface classes for applying open systems to the design of a specific hardware/software system." [sae] JAUS Service (Interface) Definition Language defines an XML schema for the interface definition of services at the Class 4L, or Application Layer, and Class 3L, or System Services Layer, of the Generic Open Architecture stack (See Figure 1 below). The specification of JAUS services shall be defined according to the JAUS Service (Interface) Definition Language document. These files are licensed to enable use of some content as derivative works. This document defines a set of standard application layer interfaces called JAUS Core Services. JAUS Services provide the means for software entities in an unmanned system or system of unmanned systems to communicate and coordinate their activities. The Core Services represent the infrastructure commonly found across all domains and types of unmanned systems. At present, seven services are defined in this document: o Transport Service: Abstracts the functionality of the underlying communication transport layer o Events Service: Establishes a publish/subscribe mechanism for automatic messaging o Access Control: Manages preemptable exclusive control for safety critical operations o Management: Defines component life-cycle management o Time: Allows clients to query and set the system time for the component o Liveness: Provides a means to maintain connection liveness between communicating components o Discovery: Governs automatic discovery of remote entities and their capabilities Each service is described by a JAUS Service Definition (JSD) which specifies the message set and protocol required for compliance.

This document defines a set of standard application layer interfaces called JAUS Mobility Services. JAUS Services provide the means for software entities in an unmanned system or system of unmanned systems to communicate and coordinate their activities. The Mobility Services represent the platform-independent capabilities commonly found across all domains and types of unmanned systems. At present, 15 services are defined in this document. CAESAR The most comprehensive source for body measurement data Whether designing new clothing lines or cockpits accurate body measurement data is critical to create better and more cost effective products. The CAESAR Product Line (Civilian American and European Surface Anthropometry Resource) was designed to provide you with the most current measurements for today's body. This product line was developed as a result of a comprehensive research project that brought together representatives from numerous industries including apparel, aerospace, and automotive. CAESAR began as a partnership between government and industry to collect the most extensive sampling of consumer body measurements for comparison. The project collected data on 2,400 U.S. & Canadian and 2,000 European civilians and a database was developed. Now SAE has developed an exclusive product line to make the results of this research study available to designers everywhere.

SAE J2008 Recommended Organization of Vehicle Service Information for Interchange Access to accurate service information is critical for the diagnosis and repair of increasingly complex vehicle systems. Though aftermarket technicians perform a significant amount of this service and repair, they do not have fast, easy access to this important information. If proper procedures are not readily available, the technician may use a less effective technique that could directly impact the vehicle's performance. The goal of SAE J2008 is to enable manufacturers to standardize vehicle service information in order to increase technician familiarity and reduce search time with easy data retrieval. SAE J2008 on CD-ROM brings you the information you need to standardize your vehicle service information—today.
