This SAE Standard specifies the essential interface dimensions, the installation dimensions, and the operating requirements for hydraulic couplers employed to transmit hydraulic power from agricultural tractors to agricultural implements and farmstead equipment as defined in SAE J1150.
This SAE Standard gives the specifications and dimensions for the assembly and clearances common to hydraulically-operated cylinders and to trailing-type farm implements. The specifications given permit the interchangeability of hydraulic operation between tractors equipped with a cylinder and trailing-type implements designed for this purpose, the tractor possessing enough power at its drawbar to operate the implement; and the transference of the hydraulic cylinder from one implement to another. This document applies to three categories of agricultural tractors, as follows in Table 1:
This SAE Standard applies to an overhead cover installed on a protective frame or enclosure conforming to SAE J2194 or alternately SAE J1194 and the following additional requirement of a drop test to verify the effectiveness of the overhead cover in protecting the operator from falling objects. The test procedures and performance requirements outlined in this document are based on currently available engineering data.
The bracket shown in Figure 1 is intended for fixed attachment to the SMV emblem and to provide, through the tapered portion, a means of detachably mounting the emblem assembly in cooperation with the socket shown in Figure 2.
This SAE Standard establishes loadings, tangential pull values, and inflation pressure relationships for tire sizes and ply ratings currently used on agricultural tractors. Primary purpose of this recommendation is for use with SAE J708 MAY59. The performance of the tractor is materially affected by tire loadings, tire tangential pull values, and inflation pressure; therefore, it becomes desirable to publish this information.
Any ROPS meeting the performance requirement of ISO 5700 (Static ROPS Test Standard) or ISO 3463 (Dynamic ROPS Test Standard) meets the performance requirements of this SAE Standard if the ROPS temperature/material and seat belt requirements of this document are also met.
