The manufacturing facility in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, would initially produce the Perkins 400 Series, a range of three- and four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, naturally aspirated, and turbocharged indirect-injection engines.

Carraro has opened a new plant in Qingdao, Shandong province, China. The new production site, representing an investment of €15 million, covers a total area of 23,000 m² (248,000 ft²) and is assigned to the production of transmission systems for stationary applications (such as escalators), integrated transmissions for forklift trucks and material handling, and axles for agricultural trucks and earth-moving machines.
