SAE offers you an advanced means to obtain passenger compartment dimensions using a deflected seat rather than a free seat contour as a reference for defining seating space. The devices as described in SAE Standard J826 are intended for application concerning seated driver side accommodations.

SAE also offers a variety of drafting templates for use in describing interior dimensions of the passenger compartment as related to driver sight lines, passenger head position and seat track travel as described in SAE J941 and J1052.

Also included as part of the Engineering Aids Program are an I.G.E.S. format computer disk of the Hybrid III 50th percentile two-dimensional dummy template; SAE J400 Chip Rating Standards transparancies; SAE J1128 Wire Color Charts; J1362 Symbols for Controls, Indicators and tell-tales for off-road, self-propelled work machines; and a wide range of Owner's Manuals, User's Guides and Calibration Procedures for the Hybrid III Dummy Family.
