Regular Class - Advance Rules Release - Aero Design 2010
Similar to last year, the rules committee has decided to provide an advanced release for Aero Design 2010 rules. It is the responsibility of teams to download and adhere to the formal Aero Design 2010 rules upon their release.

New Requirements
Dimensional requirement - The total combined length, width, and height of the aircraft must not exceed 200 inches. (Length + Width + Height <= 200 inch)

Stability & Control Requirement - Significantly more weight will be placed on the importance of stability and control analysis in Regular Class aircraft. Students will be tasked with developing adequate design requirements and validating their design meets their specifications.  Points will be awarded based on the quality of the argument and justification of the requirements that were developed. This requirement will be in combination with the design report. (Maximum Points = 10)

Materials Restriction - The use of Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) is prohibited. The only exception is the use of a commercially available engine mount and propeller.

Other Requirements (Same as 2009)
Takeoff Distance - 200ft takeoff distance. 400ft landing zone.
Engine requirement - Unmodified OS MAX 0.61FX with stock muffler.
Payload Requirement - Must be capable of carrying a minimum fully enclosed rectangular block measuring 5 inches by 5 inches by 10 inches (5" x 5" x 10").
