Author and Historian Karl Ludvigsen to Present at the SAE International 2013 World Congress

WARRENDALE, Pa., Jan. 23, 2013 - Karl Ludvigsen, consultant with Ludvigsen Partners and a member of the SAE International Mobility History Committee, will make a presentation during the SAE International 2013 World Congress, April 16-18, 2013, in Detroit.

An author and historian, Ludvigsen will present his technical paper, “Colin Chapman - Inside the Innovator,” based on his best-selling book of the same title. He will make the oral presentation on Tuesday, April 16 at 10:30 a.m. in Rooms D3-20 in Cobo Center.

Mr. Ludvigsen has been an SAE member since 1960 and is a Companion of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He has a distinguished record of accomplishment at senior levels throughout the worldwide motor industry, having worked for Ford of Europe, Fiat North America and General Motors. His London consulting company served the needs of most of the major auto makers and suppliers.

Karl has also received wide recognition for his work as an editor, journalist, historian and author. In addition to his editorial roles with Motor Trend, Sports Cars Illustrated and Car and Driver, Ludvigsen is the author of more than 40 books, many of them prize-winning. In demand from the press of North America and Europe for his interpretation of information on industry trends, he is a frequent speaker at conferences.
