SAE International's Formula SAE Competition Set for June 19-22 at Lincoln Airport, Lincoln in Lincoln, Neb.

WARRENDALE, Pa., June 5, 2013 - Students are gearing up for the next event in the Formula SAE® chapter of the Collegiate Design Series, which will be held June 19-22, at the Lincoln Airport, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Formula SAE provides an opportunity for aspiring collegiate engineers to demonstrate their expertise in a real world scenario.  Students design a Formula-style race car that is evaluated as it would be in a real world market.  These students hail from prestigious schools with remarkably intensive engineering programs such as Kansas-Lawrence, who won Formula SAE in Lincoln last year. 

Formula SAE Lincoln’s event schedule:

- Thursday, June 21 – Design Judging, Cost Event, Presentation Event

 

- Friday, June 22 – Acceleration and Skid Pad Event, Autocross Event

 

- Saturday, June 23 – Endurance/Fuel Economy Event
