SAE International's Fuels, Lubricants, and Aftertreatment Symposium Slated for November

WARRENDALE, Pa., July 8, 2013 - SAE International will be hosting the 2013 Fuels, Lubricants, and Aftertreatment Symposium in Long Beach, Calif., from Nov.18-21, 2013.

This year’s focus will be on achieving fuel economy and GHG targets. The symposium will strive to identify the technologies that will pave the way to achieving greater fuel efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This symposium has never been more important due to the institution of strict global mandates concerning energy and emissions.

According to leading specialists in the industry, the maturity of bio-fuels technology, the refinement of aftertreatment, and the evolution of lubricants and lubricating fluids will be critical tools in going above and beyond the global regulations.  SAE International’s Fuels, Lubricants, and Aftertreatment Symposium, will seek to explore these possibilities in order to make strides in the industry.

This three-day event will be split up into sections, Bio-Fuels on Tuesday, November 19, which will begin with Keynote speaker Tammy Klein from Hart Energy; Emissions control on Wednesday, led by Keynote speaker Tim Johnson from Corning Inc., and finally, Lubricants will be discussed on Thursday, and will be led by Ewa Bardasz from The Lubrizol Corporation.

Premier Partner for the event is Afton Chemical.
