SAE International Announces Esteemed Keynote Speakers for the Upcoming 2013 AeroTech Congress & Exhibition

WARRENDALE, Pa., July 16, 2013 - SAE International’s 2013 AeroTech Congress & Exhibition announces the keynote speakers and executive panel that will be leading the upcoming event in Montréal, Quebec at the Palais de congrés de Montréal, Sept. 24-26.

This biennial event aims to prepare for future challenges and opportunities by gathering the world’s leading professionals in the aerospace industry. This year, some of the industry’s most esteemed individuals have accepted SAE International’s invitation to speak at the upcoming Congress & Exhibition.

The event will begin on Sept. 24 with the Opening Keynote Speaker, Rob Dewar. Mr. Dewar is the Vice President of the C-Series Jet of Bombardier Commercial Aircraft.  He is responsible for product development of the C-Series Jet, as well as operations, supply chain, customer support, and international sales campaigns for the aircraft.

The next day, Lieutenant General (LTG) William Philips of the U.S. Army will address the audience. LTG Philips is a highly decorated officer, being awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, as well as several others.  LTG Philips has served in his position since January 2010, but has served the U.S. Army since May of 1976.

Paul Steele, the Executive Director of Air Transport Action Group, will lead the attendees in the final day of the event.  Air Transport Action Group (ATAG) is the only global cross-industry body that promotes sustainable aviation.  Mr. Steele also works for the International Air Transport Association, for whom he provides guidance and leadership for their global environment strategy.

SAE International’s 2013 AeroTech Congress and Exhibition will include some of the industry’s elite, which will fuel the increase in the level of understanding, as well as providing contacts and connections within the industry. These speakers will illuminate some of the most pressing matters in the industry, making the event essential for anyone in the aerospace industry.
