SAE International Completes Asset Purchase of TechAmerica Standards Program

WARRENDALE, Pa., July 18, 2013 - SAE International announces the completion of an asset purchase of the TechAmerica Standards Program and IBIS Consortia.

TechAmerica is the leading voice for the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry in the United States. Its membership comprises large, medium and small technology companies that create a variety of products and deliver a multitude of services in the private sector and to governments at the state and national level.

Through the acquisition, TechAmerica’s members will benefit from SAE International’s core competency of technical standards and publications development.

“TechAmerica, formally GEIA, has long been a global leader in Systems Engineering, business process, and management standards,” Edward Manns, Aerospace Standards Business Unit Leader, SAE International said. “The acquisition of TechAmerica’s standards program only enhances SAE International’s strong complement of global technical documents.”
