SAE International and Central Ontario Section Partner to Hold Design Reviews for Effective Product Development this Fall in Toronto

WARRENDALE, Pa., July 26, 2013 - SAE International is partnering with its Central Ontario Section to offer the “Design Reviews for Effective Product Development” seminar on Nov. 15, 2013, in Toronto Canada.

The goal of this seminar is to introduce the increasingly important design reviews that are required for ISO 9001:2000 which must comply with and be compatible to specifications to both the automotive and aerospace industries. Participants will learn how formal design reviews can improve products by uncovering potential problems prior to the development or application stages. If problem identification could occur earlier in the process, it would significantly reduce correction costs.

In addition, this seminar will delve into a broad range of effective techniques for organization and conduction of design reviews. Attendees will benefit from detailed guidance and specific tools that allow design reviews to be tailored to unique companies, specifications, and contract requirements. This highly specialized topic will be materialized for all types of development programs, from components to complete vehicles and from OEMS to suppliers.

Seminar instructor is Angelo Mago, a senior consultant and the owner of ATM Consulting, Inc. Mago’s company provides customized training and consulting services to the supplier community in the areas of quality assurance, quality control, design engineering, document management, and customer service and improvement methods. Mago has recently worked as the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for GM Truck Group and his responsible for PPAP qualification and approval.
