Gacioch and Warren Receive SAE Award for Outstanding Technical Committee ServiceWARRENDALE, Pa., Nov. 19, 2007 - Michael Gacioch, Jr., and Leland Warren are recipients of SAE International's Technical Standards Board Outstanding Contribution Award. They were presented the award during the SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress & Exhibition in Rosemont, Ill. This award, established in 1953, recognizes individuals for outstanding service on SAE International's technical committees. The SAE Foundation funds this award. In addition to supporting the awards, recognition and scholarship programs of SAE International, the SAE Foundation develops and funds programs and incentives that foster student interest in engineering, scientific and technical education. Gacioch and Warren were honored for their work on SAE International's Construction, Agricultural and Off-Road Machinery Council.
During his 30 years with Deere, Gacioch has had assignments in facilities engineering, manufacturing engineering, occupational safety, marketing and product safety. A member of SAE International, Gacioch has held leadership positions on several subcommittees within the ConAg Council. He is also a member of the American Society of Agricultural & Biological Engineers. Gacioch holds a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University and a master's in business administration from the University of Dubuque . He is a registered Professional Engineer in Iowa and a Certified Safety Professional. He resides in Moline, Ill.
Previously, Warren worked at Blaw-Knox Construction Equipment, a division of Ingersoll-Rand, and Fiat-Allis Construction Equipment, Inc. A 32-year member of SAE International, Warren has served on technical standards committees for the Construction, Agricultural and Off-Road Machinery Council. He also has served on technical advisory groups for technical standards committees of the International Organization for Standardization. Warren holds a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois . He is a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois . He resides in Humboldt, Ill.
