SAE International Honors Two at World Congress with International Leadership Award

DETROIT, April 16, 2008 - Awarded in part for work that has "significantly contributed to SAE's success and international reputation over an extended period of time," Dr. Franz Pischinger, Chairman of the Board, FEV Motorentechnik and Helmut List, President and CEO of AVL, will receive the SAE International Leadership Citation during the SAE 2008 World Congress in Detroit .

The awards will be presented during the International Networking Reception on Wednesday, April 16, at 5 p.m. in the Cobo Center Exhibit Hall.

The annual award recognizes individuals who are well-known internationally for continuous professional involvement and participation in SAE's meetings, conferences, congresses and unique assistance and support in helping SAE achieve its goals and objectives.

Both Pischinger and Helmut List are SAE Fellows and have been long-time supporters of the SAE World Congress. This is the second time that Helmut List has won the SAE International Leadership Citation. He is the first two-time winner of the award.
