Boeing, FAA Engineers Receive SAE Aerospace Chair Award
WARRENDALE, Pa., March 5, 2009 -
Three SAE International committee leaders have been selected to receive SAE International's Aerospace Chair Award.
The award, established in 1997, recognizes outstanding leadership demonstrated by chairs of committees under the Aerospace Council and Air & Space Group. The award is funded through the SAE Foundation.
The recipients are:
David Amirehteshami Amirehteshami earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington. He resides in Los Alamitos, Calif.

Sanford Fleishman Fleishman, a member of SAE International for 13 years, has published two SAE papers and has presented at many technical committee meetings. He earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Long Beach and a master’s in aerospace engineering from California State University, Long Beach. He resides in Kenmore, Wash.

Paul Pendleton Pendleton received his bachelor’s in aircraft mechanical engineering from Parks College of St. Louis University. He serves as President of the Wichita Council of Engineering Societies and previously served as Chairman for the Wichita Section of SAE. He also is a member of the SAE Air and Space Group, where he serves as a conference representative. He resides in Wichita.
